Francis -v- JFSC: Lead Counsel: Successfully represented the Commission from 2014 to 2018 in the landmark case concerning the banning of former Horizon Group CEO from the Island’s finance industry. Numerous interlocutory hearings before the Jersey Royal Court and Court of Appeal culminating in a wide-ranging judgement from the Royal Court vindicating the JFSC’s position.

AG –v- Caversham Trust Company: Court of Appeal: led the successful prosecution of a trust company and a director for anti-money laundering procedural breaches in the context of a major UK drug trafficking prosecution.

Jersey Financial Services Commission - Meinl Bank: director disqualification resolved through published undertakings. Subsequently successfully defended the Commission against an application for Judicial Review.

Woolworths Plc - UK administrator acted without court approval and attempted to leave Jersey employees with no redundancy payments and Jersey creditors without redress. Acted for the Viscount in Royal Court proceedings to secure assets and payments in full for all Jersey creditors.

Milner –v- Milner Laboratories, Leech and others: £65m shareholder dispute involving ML Laboratories PLC and which attracted international media interest: acting for the Plaintiff, Mrs Milner in derivative proceedings and injunctive proceedings. Voidability of transactions raised. Case finally resolved through mediation and two negotiated settlements

Jersey Financial Services Commission –Belgravia Asset Management: regulatory investigation with multitude of complex fund issues arising

Tamara Mellon –v- Royal Bank of Canada Trust (Jimmy Choo) –acting for the Defendant trustee in the trial over a share ownership dispute following a private equity investment into Jimmy Choo

Chimel Trust Company Limited, en désastre: acted on the Commission's appointment of managers and then for the Viscount in the first-ever bankruptcy of a regulated trust company. Numerous 'proceeds of crime' legal issues arose. Beverley devised 'blanket enabling procedures' with Royal Court approval to transfer over 100 clients' to new service providers and then led the administration and legal teams involved.
